Default How to take a screenshot and post it on the Forums - 06-22-2012, 02:46 AM

The Print Screen method works on all Windows versions from Windows 95 up to Windows 7.
1Locate the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. The "Print Screen" button may be labeled "Prt Sc", "Prnt Scrn", "Print Scrn", or similar. On most desktop keyboards and the keyboards of bigger laptops, the button is usually found next to the "F12" and "Scroll Lock" keys. On laptop keyboards, you may have to press the "Fn" or "Function" key to access "Print Screen".

Locate the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.

Press "Print Screen" alone to take a screenshot of the entire screen. This should work with all windows.
If you want to take a screenshot of just one window, make sure that that window is the "active" window on your screen. This means that it should be in front of all your other windows. Then, hold down the "Alt" key and press "Print Screen".

Open Microsoft Paint. To open Paint, open the Start menu, click on "All Programs", click on "Accessories", and finally click on "Paint".

Paste the screenshot. Select the "Rectangular Select tool" in Paint. Right-click on the canvas and select "Paste". Your screenshot will be pasted onto the canvas. You can also paste the screenshot directly into a word document or an email by right-clicking the page you're composing and clicking paste.

Save the screenshot. Click on File, then select "Save As..." (Windows XP and earlier), or click on the menu button (the blue button beside the "Home" button) and select "Save As" (Windows Vista and later). Type in a file name and change the "Save as type:" field if desired. Read the "Tips" section for information on file types. You can now send the screenshot by email or put it on a website.

You can upload your image by going to tinypic.com

Hopefully this should help you. If you have any problems with this method, let me know and I will help you

lol, yeah this works, but if you want
to install the desktop client it's
much simpler.

first: press insert on your keyboard. the 0 on number pad. if ur on a laptop
without the number pad just click the button on top screen of client.

second: go to your silab garza folder, screenshots, and do what you want. lol

And once uploading to tinypic.com, make sure to use the provided link for FORUMS. That way the image actually shows up and I don't have to click on a link.

For Mac Users:

Command + Shift + 3 - Takes a screen shot of your whole screen
Command + Shift + 4 - Enables you to select an area to take a screen shot of

The screen shots usually show up on your Desktop, where you can upload them to an image hosting site.

Anyways, handy guide for noobies on print screening. Thanks for making it!
