It sounds like you need to go back to the doctor because that isn't normal. Don't die over something stupid bro.

Well, I don't really know how to prevent long term dizzyness, but if you feel yourself spinning, do this:

1. Start to take deep breaths and try to focus on what's going on.

2. Try to find a surface that you can lean/rest on while you wait for the dizzyness to subside.

3. Hold that posistion and continue to breath deeply.

4. As people start to stare at you, start to look down and grumble slowly, "woo woo nana hu hu nana" Repeat that phrase over and over increasing in volume.

5. Look at the mortals stare at you as you shed your human form and ascend into the heavens.

Follow steps 1-3, 4-5 are only for serious cases of dizzyness.

A concussion from 1 year ago shouldn't affect you that much.

I'd advise that you ease into exercise again. It may be that you're out of shape and/ or long-lasting effects of the concussion are still there. Do maybe 15-20 minute light/moderate workouts a day and slowly build up endurance. Drink lots of water and stop if you're dizzy. And yes, it's a good idea to check up with a doctor.

Honestly Brix I'm not to sure if anyone on here would know what direction to point you when it comes to the medical advice you need. I've taken a lot of medical classes but never learned anything about concussions, but I know for sure that you should definitely go back to the doctor to see how he would diagnose the problem and don't hide what's going on. I'm not sure if you have a trainer or not but if you do I suggest asking them to!

You're not going to be able to play hockey if you're out of the ring every 20 minutes because of headaches and dizziness. Concussions won't affect you after a year. A concussion is just your brain getting smacked against the skull really hard and usually only lasts about week with any side affects that come with it unless you damaged your brain somehow, in which case I'd go see a doctor before you try anything more.

If you're stupid enough to play before seeing a doctor about your head, then don't complain about the headaches and dizziness.

Sometimes we just need a friend.
Someone to hold us when you can't stand.
Sometimes even to pretend like you matter for that split second that everything seems to be crashing down.
And sometimes it's just easier to say goodbye.

Shit like this isn't anything to toy with. I myself have had 4 concussions, and 6 months later I'm still suffering from PCS (Post Concussion Syndrome) I'll feel dizzy like you say, sometimes I'll even throw up, when I play hockey though I'll never feel the symptoms, so I'd say you've got something pretty bad going on. I HIGHLY recommend you go see a doctor.

Thanks Lizzy. ^

This is going to sound really stupid.

Were you smiling really 'hard' while playing? Smiling hard while doing fast paced activity can lead to seriously bad pain behind the ears, as well as dizziness.

It sounds rather inconvenient.
It's hard to give advice when you aren't completely sure what the problem is.
I doubt it has anything to do with the concussion uless of course it is PCS, which you should have confirmed or denied by a doctor.

It could otherwise be any number of things, lack of sleep, lack of food, lack of oxygen, low blood sugar, etc.
