Alright, well, I've been having insomnia for the past couple of days, and I just can't get it to stop. I keep my laptop aside with me, so that if I can't sleep, I just usually browse through the Internet until I get some sleep in my eyes. However, that hardly works. I've tried putting my laptop away, and giving it a shot in sleeping, however, all I do is keep on fidgeting and it's so annoying. There hasn't been anything that happened recently that caused depression, or anything somewhat similar to that.

At the moment, it's 4:48 AM in the morning and I still can't get some sleep in my eyes. Though, I wake up a 3:30 to go eat and then back to bed at around 4am. It's a religious schedule for fasting, so thus, I have to do it when I'm capable enough.

Any tips to make this stop? I don't want to catch the habit and then go to work and find myself falling asleep all of a sudden. I'm on vacation, two weeks, so hopefully I can lose the habit by then.

If your bed is next to a wall, which it probably is..On the left or right side, try facing it, with a pillow on top of your head, and your arm above that pillow, resting on top of it.

Close your eyes, think of something tiring, etc. It's what I do to get to sleep.

If you're fasting then there's little point in trying to fix this until it's over. You have to wake up early anyway. My advice is to just go to a doctor once your fasting is over.

Sleeping pills or medicine, until you get back into the sleeping routine
this helped me out, now i freely sleep; however sometimes the drugs just make you drowzy, and dont make you tired...
