Default College Laptop - 06-04-2012, 12:59 PM

ALl right, I'm going away to college for the fall and I'm sick of my old laptop.
I have a windows, and always have had windows.
After hearing so much about how amazing macs are I've decided to take a look at them.
I don't know that much about hardware when it comes to computers.
I'm planning on studying software engineering right now, but that could definitely change as time goes on.
I don;t do much "hardcore gaming" or anything like that. The only games I'll be playing on this computer will be probably this server.
I use my laptop to download music mainly. I have 60gb of music on my computer right now, and download around a gig a week give or take a few.
The only reason I use my computer other than that is for writing papers, doing powerpoints, photoshop, all that boring stuff.
I'm wondering what laptop you guys would reccommend, hoping that some of you know more about hardware than I do.
Right now I'm feeling like the 320g 13'' macbook pro would be good for me. I want to know your opinions on this though.
I usually don't go with apple-I'm a hardcore android over iphone user and would never get an iPhone. I just know a lot more about phones than computers.
Thanks in advance for the help guys

Well I Know All Big Time Programmer's And
Graphic's User's Use Mac's.

So if Your Getting In To Software, I'd Run With A Mac.
I My Self Have A Lenovo i5 Second Generation laptop.
And I Use It For About Everything.

But Once I get The Money i Might Buy Myself A Mac For My Graphics Courses.

So All In All It's Kinda Your Choice.

You most likely may not even need a computer.

I know just about every computer on my college's campus has any program that you'd need for a course offered by the school.

I would stick with a PC. Always stick with a PC. They can do more than Macs.

If you're going to be using it for college work such as computer programming and what not, a PC has more computing power and if that's not enough you can simply build your own computer for a lot less than a Mac will cost.

ball cancer too, douches.
