Default Which forum user here is an eloquent English speaker? - 08-01-2012, 06:27 AM

I hope that someone can assist me on improving my English language.

What I have done for the past few months:

1. I have read Pog's grammar guide over and over again.
2. Practicing on my grammar by reading grammar comics.
3. Doing practices on Comprehension and Summary writing.
4. Trying to string my sentences properly and speak better English.
5. Think Logically.

It is tough but worth practicing. Does anyone mind helping me to improve on speaking proper English?

By the way, my Oral examination is 10 days away.
My full paper ( Essay + Comprehension ) is 82 days away.

I don't mind. What you have to remember is that English is one of the most, if not the most difficult languages to learn as a secondary language. It takes a good amount of time to perfect it. Even people who learned English as their first language struggle with it.

It's the only language that have words that sound the same, but have different meanings. A lot about learning a language is the sounds. When multiple words sound the same, it causes mass confusion.

Your and you're being a well known example.

I am Bilingual.
My second language is Chinese.
My results for both of this language is average of a C to B grade.

Since my 2nd language exam paper was taken, now I can concentrate on English.

To be honest, I don't think you need just 1 person to follow off. Over time you'll pick up what to do, and what not to do grammar-wise.
Like for instance when I first got active on forums, I still went around not using any punctuation or grammar and using the short slang of words like "u" instead of you and such.
To be quite frank, I learned more in my time here to do with the English language than I ever did in school.
