It appears to me that after the reset that us players no longer have the same damage that we did before the reset. Not only do we not have the same damage but it seems to me like the damage got nerfed alot on everything! I used to be able to whip 40's without max gear (dhide) with fcape, ddefender, and turmoil and now i can barley hit a 40 with max gear. Also i got a chaotic maul today with near max gear and it seems that the maxhit i can do is 52? And this makes it more annoying to pvm since the monsters still have the same amount of health and some have ungodly amounts of health. I don't know about mage and range but i know that melee should get a rework of some kind, maybe just similar to what it was like before the reset? I think that's when it happened or within the month before the reset.

Are you really saying that melee needs to hit higher for pvm?

Completely no support. It's already wayyyy too easy for pvm farmers as it is...

I can't say I agree with you on this, pre-reset I believe the combat was a bit stronger than it had to be.
The damage output against monsters now compared to then seems more balanced and real.

Overall I don't believe the changes made make it any more challenging than it was previously.

The previous hits were more like regular runescape pre eoc and that would be more real than the current standard

No melee has ever been good pvming other than korasi. That's why people range.
And range is plenty good. If whips get bumped in strength just for pvming, then
they become extremely unbalanced in everything else.

It has always been good for chaos ele and now you can barley hit a 30 on it and it takes 20x longer than it used to.

sadly, I must agree with Matt on this, melee definitely isn't what it used to be, everyone is depending on range, or Korasi, that's not how it should be. You should be able to use any weapon on any monster and deal a nice bit of damage, considering of course, there will be weapons better than others cause of strength, and or attack bonuses. I don't hit for shit with whips, dds, d scim, or godswords on any monster. Pvming is solemly based on having good range gear, or a korasi. So with that being said, I believe a slight rework is in order, no I am in no way bitching, Its simply, I used to be able to do more with a whip than range and now, a whip is barely good for PKing, it's hit or miss, same with specs. I guarantee everyone who posted on this has a korasi, so they aren't gonna complain.
