so a while back someone suggested adding coin chests to all monsters

have them coded, need help determining non-eco-destroying drop rates

right now i have it so theres 2 different chests



chest 1: 25k for normal, 50k for donors, 75k for super donators, able to be opened

chest 2: double the amount of gold, but requires a secondary drop (a key) using same system


right now i have it setup like this (not ingame yet)

5% chance of obtaining a random item (chest 1, chest 2, key)
if monster has over 500 max health, chance is raised to 25%
if chance is good when randomly determining, you get 1 random item (chest 1, chest 2, or the key), completely random, none are more rare then others


so questions for you guys

what should the chances be?
should there be a different way to check if chance should be rasied?
should normal chest be more common then the super chest/key?
how much gold should the chests give if not the amount stated?

what should the chances be? 2x gold chest should have a 0.1% of giving some cool item
should there be a different way to check if chance should be rasied? wat
should normal chest be more common then the super chest/key? yes, but not 5%, maybe 3-4% idk
how much gold should the chests give if not the amount stated? i think 2x chest could give 2.5% more because if its 2x and you need chest+key, its the same thing as getting 2 normal chest, making them not special at all

Trade-able?

I like the idea of the double chest being tradable along with the keys... maybe having a random amount in from 1k-150k? If they were rare enough.

And then just the normal chest with a normal drop rate.

25% chance of getting 1 voting ticket added to super chest
3% to get normal chest
20% if npc has over 500hp
50% now instead of 33% chance of getting normal chest (to make big chest rarer)
large chest now would give... 75k, 125k, 175k (norm, doner, sup doner)

any other suggestions to change?

i mean like, right now if over 500hp, is considered harder monster and does 20% instead of 3% chance of obtaining money chest, wondering if someone has a different idea other than 500hp to determine boss/hard monster/etc

higher tier monsters should drop chests that consist of more than 75k ish, although new content is appreciated such low amounts ( i know the problem of inflation, but incentive needs to exist )such as 75k wont be much of omg bank lewt to most players.

but i spose its just added reward so i cant complain seems good.

ppl often ask "im new, how do i make money"
killing random monsters isn't usually an answer i give

going to implement what i have so far and if further suggestions come into play they will be in a future update if deemed acceptable

Would it be possible to have a message pop up to say something like "You have now open x amount of chests and have a higher chance of a rare reward!" for the gold chests
