Default Reworked Donation System. - 05-03-2014, 10:22 AM

This is a concept of the Donation System that may come in place. The donation system will have a lot more things to offer but this is here to show you what it may look like.

The current donation system is pretty bad, it shows SilabGarza as a pay2win server, hence it doesn't look appealing. You wouldn't enjoy it if you spent a whole month grinding your skills / pvming / pvping / etc and then a new player has x2 of your wealth in one day just because he donated?

New Donation System:

Part I (System itself):

The new donation system will be based off of points. It will be stored within the forum database just like your kbank points. A person can purchase a certain amount of points (like Riot Points on LoL) and spend them in the Donator Shop.

You will also have the ability to gift/trade these points, but you will have a limit of how many points per day/week. The reason for this is we might have many minors joining the server that are too young to donate and their parents aren't up for it, or just people that have no way of donating themselves. Wouldn't it be cool to send your friend some points on his birthday or a holiday. It could also be used for giveaways, that could unite the community.

About the trading of points, yes it is a way of pay2win, but this way it doesn't bring in items that effect the economy and acts more of a money sink since you're exchanging the points for wealth that is already in the game.

-Amount of points you can transfer per day/week will be based off of your in-game ::Activity.
-On certain holidays donation points will be sold for cheaper in big amounts.
-A sub forum will be made to buy/sell points. These sales will be mm'd only by staff or very trusted mm's.
-People can have their own personal Point Shop threads.


Part II (The Shop):

Almost all of the items that are tradeable will be removed, and will be properly gained by a different way within the game (I myself will work on how to achieve the removed items). Only tradeable items that will stay are the ones that have a small value in the game, these items will be their just incase you REALLY need them, they will be priced in a way that it won't be abused to make yourself rich in minutes.
-The items will mainly be untradeable cosmetics that won't drastically affect the economy. But they will be worth it, and trust me you'll look unique.
-The items will be sold in different tiers. e.g: Tier I: 10 points, Tier II: 25pts, tier III:50 pts and so on..
-Addition of bonuses and benefits for being a donator. E.G. purchasing items worth 100+ points will grant you uniqueness in game/on forums
-Some items will go on sale for holidays.

PART III (Items):

The shop will have a lot more new items to purchase, I will work on them after they're requested by Brittany. You will see things like:

-There will be an addition of Goodie of the week/month, basically thessalia's shop with all of the event clothes will be removed. Those items will be sold as goodies, they will be untradeable.

Yeah I've seen one like this on another server;
It worked unbelievably well.

i honestly don't understand why donating for others was removed, both people benefitted as well as those receiving the donation.

this system might be complex to initiate but it honestly sounds better than the normal system, helping to set us out differently.

10/10 would bang love ux.


if there is a problem of donating for items to control the server, perhaps the integration of "lucky" items.

same item as normal but with a slightly different visual look, as was in rs. untradable and stakeable, and alchs for 1gp.

just a thought towards donating for items such as an ags. When you die they would go to sin seer and cost a hefty fee of around 300m in order to prevent them camping these as if chaotics.

Looks really tidy, can't see any flaws in it, except for the MMing of the points.

And the points should not be made as an item in game, I was a bit unclear about how that works, but I believe it's all through forums right? @Marat
