Default New Laptop suggestions? - 06-12-2013, 12:36 PM

Going to be getting a new laptop sometime this summer. My budget is 800-1500 dollars, give or take.
I'm honestly not good at this, and was hoping somebody could suggest a laptop (or website I can visit to find one) that can run games, but can also be used for school. I'll be extremely grateful is somebody could help me out.

I'd honestly build one.
They're cheaper, you end up knowing what you can and can't do, it's just like big electrical Lego.
Otherwise I suggest going on a company website and going on their sendback page. This is where PC's and Laptops bought from the company get returned when somethings not right. Almost 100% of the time they're on there because they're the wrong colour or something stupid, yet they knock of %30 of the value in most cases.

Don't buy alienware, you're paying far too much for an over hyped brand.

On desktops, no doubt, 100% with you. But on laptops its rare to see a pc with the same stats and way cheaper. Swag in the ware is kewl also.

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I wouldn't trust myself building a laptop, so that's out of the question.

I'd honestly go for the above one in my opinion. Asus are known to be pretty good and the specs look really good for your needs.
