@Perroke
I have this same issue. That said, I have it 24/7 and not just on sg.

The first thing you're going to want to do is check to make sure your current cooling is working. Dust on the heat-sink and fans for example can hinder them working properly. If they have any dust on, get a can of compressed air (relatively cheap) and spray the appropriate components when the computer is off and has been off for at least 30 minutes to ensure it is cool.
If you still don't see any change in temperature or it's still not to a temperature you like, take off the heat-sink where your CPU is and see if there is still thermal paste (it'll be a grey substance) on the CPU and heat-sink. If there isn't much/any at all, then your next step is replacing it. To replace it, you'll need to clean off any residue of the previous paste on both the CPU and heat-sink, and then apply a thin layer of replacement thermal paste. Here's a guide on how to do so: Tomshardware

If for whatever reason you still don't see any improvement, then look into getting a new heat-sink/fan for your computer. Personally, I'm getting these on Wednesday to sort mine out;
Heat-sink/fan Heat-sink/fan

Thermal paste and cleaner Thermal paste and cleaner

Hope this helps.

Ah, fair enough. You didn't specify what you already tried in the OP so I just covered all bases :P
Good choice with the liquid-cooling.
