Default Getting a new computer - 03-03-2014, 01:52 PM

I'm looking for a new computer, one with the newer sockets from Intel; 1150. I'm using an outdated 1155 (Somehow the number goes down, don't ask me). The parts I'm planning on buying:

Case: Corsair C70 Military (100 Euros)

Spoiler

Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming (125 euros)

Spoiler

CPU: Intel i7 4770k (300 euros)

Spoiler

RAM: 2x 4 GB DDR3-1600 CL9 9-9-24 (Comes with the MoBo) (Free)

GFX card: MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC (218 euros)

Spoiler

HDD: Western Digital Green 3TB (103 euros)

Spoiler

CPU cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H100i (98 euros)

Spoiler

Case fans: 3x Scythe Slip Stream 500 (9,50 each, 28,50 in total)

Spoiler

And I'm still wondering what power supply to get, I want one with a lot of optional entries so I can plug in a lot more than I'm originally planning to. It has to be around 600-800 Watt, if anyone can advice me which one to get, that'd be great.

And of course, an DVD burner, they don't cost a lot, probably 10 to 15 euros.

That brings me to a total of 987,5 euros, not the price of a power supply included. Am I overspending on something? Am I making the wrong decision somewhere? I would love to get some feedback on my plan!

You don't really need the grpahics card your getting, but if it comes free then there's no reason not to get it.

The power supply doesn't even matter that much, just get the best one you can for the money imo.
Just make sure to get a warranty on it, it's the only thing I can't stress enough.

The graphics card isn't free, the RAM is free.

And how many years or months of warranty should be the minimum?

Not really planning to. I'm sitting close to my screen so dual monitors would be a waste of money. Also, I can't multitask.

@Welshboy I've looked through Corsairs but there are so many and I can't find a rather cheap one, with plenty of options to connect SATA and at least 2 6 pin PCI. And as I mentioned, around 600-800 Watts should be enough. I don't want it to cost over 150 euros.

What kind do you have?

Fairly slow HDD; I'd get an SSD for my programmes, if you've got the extra, that is.

Here is a link to the power supply I have for my computer.

Corsair CP-9020048-UK Builder Series CX 600W Power Supply (PSU) - Scan.co.uk

I can post an image of my system for you to take a look if you like? Just the exterior, can't be bothered to open it up at the moment. Easy enough to install, did it myself.

It was the cheapest price per GB available.
