Default Help me buy a Gaming PC? - 03-04-2013, 01:41 PM

Hi guys

I'm looking for a Gaming computer, tower preferably.

My budget is £300 - £450 so, keep them in that price range if possible.

Looking for some good specs, at least 6GB RAM if possible?

Link me if you find something, cookies will be in order.

Thanks,
VS.

Here's a list that I'm gonna be using when I can save up for it. I'm gonna be building it myself though.
  • 1GB XFX Radeon HD 7770
  • Intel Pentium G850, Socket 1155, Dual Core, 2.90GHz
  • LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R
  • Fractal Design Core 1000 MicroATX Mini Tower Case
  • LPJ19-25 Storm 500w PSU
  • MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard
  • 4GB Corsair Value DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333) [Of course, you can get 6gb if you want]
  • 500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm

Note: This is only the tower. So no mouse, operating system, keyboard or monitor comes with this.

Also, if you want the sites for the stuff I can edit this with them. Comes to around £290-£310.

It's the one from this video: Build your own STEAM BOX! - How to build a gaming PC! - YouTube

Would this be good for games like Minecraft and RuneScape?

You don't need anything spectacular to run Minecraft or Runescape honestly...

I've never really understood why people need gaming/pc setups.

I use a modern computer.

You don't need 6GB ram. As long as you don't download random crap you're going to be amazingly glad with a 4GB w7/w8.

Just make sure you have 4GB/ram, atleast i5 core and 700MB+ of storage room. You can buy such computers for a very cheap price and you'll be content.

it would be waste of your cash to buy higher specs than needed. IF you would ever be unstatisfied of a 4Gb/RAM blablabla computer you could buy gadgets for it to be faster, but I think you wont complain untill 4-5 years.

Any normal computer is good for gaming these days.

I got mine for 400 euros, I have 2 screens attached to it, skype, razer, steam,............ all running at the same time, every game on highest settings and it works PERFECT.

MEDIONshop België | MEDION® AKOYA® PC P5311 F this one is 600 euros, a bit overpriced but everything is on the internet.

It has 8GB ram, i5 core, 2 TB store memory and pretty good videocard.
If this is only 600 euro, imagine what you could get at a store for your budget.
I think that if you'd go to a decent-prized mediastore you'd find a good pc for your budget.

This is just an examplecomputer, I got this one's brother for 400 euros.
