Post How to transfer music from iPod to Itunes - 08-05-2011, 11:16 PM

This is a common problem for iPod owners all over. When you have all your music on your iPod and want to transfer it to Itunes, it seems like you've tried everything. Wrong. There's programs out there that can automatically do it for you, but I don't trust those downloads due to viruses, malware etc. I'm going to show you how to transfer music, apps, movies, and just about everything on your iPod to Itunes hassle-free. Itunes is an annoying program and I hate it. They don't really care about what their users think, they care about what Apple thinks. The downfall of using this method is if you already have music in your Itunes library, it will be deleted and replaced with the music from your iPod. This is a picture to show you what you need to do (pic 1).
If you're prompted to authorize your computer, go to the top of the page and click "Store." Then scroll down to "authorize this computer," (pic 2) and enter your Itunes information. I hope this helped, it took me a long time to find out how to do this but it was well worth my while. Also, if you need any help jail-breaking, I'm your guy, just post on my public profile or private message me.

That's only for music purchased through iTunes isn't it? What about everything you've downloaded elsewhere or from CDs?

File > Add File > "Ctrl" + downloaded files > OK > sync.

You said that this thread was towards my dilemma;

I posted a thread in the computer section about your itunes dilema, look it up.
My dilemma was much more than just syncing music to iTunes. It was syncing an old iPod with a new iTunes. It's fixed, but nonetheless, good job with this guide. Plus, this does seem like it would only work with purchased music, which no one really does anymore...

I think it works for everything that's on your iPod. If not, then you could just re-download the CD's into your Itunes library or add the file manually from an mp3 sharing site.
