I'm having the same problem with my Lenovo ThinkPad. It says it needs a disk to factory restore it, but I don't have one. I've looked high and low through this computer to find out how to restore it, but I can't find anything other than system restore (which I have no previous restore points to even do that).

How old is your toshiba laptop? Sometimes a virus/error could even fuck over the factory reset option or the laptop could be too old to even go to factory reset without the cd's.

And for @Trent, have you tried this already?

You just have to change the order it checks for bootable devices in your BIOS. If you have more than one HDD give priority to the disk which you installed Windows on. And if you want to install windows, prioritize the diskplayer. If you're going to buy a new one over this you're retarded.

It says I have to either hold or repeatedly click F11 on startup, which I did (both ways actually). Nothing came up when I did this, and I'm having a hard time figuring out why. That's why I was telling Zain that I'm basically stuck in the same boat.

i know hardly anything about computers however in order to invert my fn key i had to press an f key upon startup of the computer and it took me hours, not sure if this helps but might just be your timing.
