Default Hard Drive; Laptop - 08-12-2010, 12:40 AM

Hello SG. I come here very sad tonight.

Tonight, I left my house for about an hour and left my laptop on whilst I was gone. I came back, and my laptop was off. I turned on, and it didn't boot correctly.

"Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082) Copyright 1997-200 Intel"

This product is covered by one or more of the following patents (then there's like 20 patents)

Realtek PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller Series v2.26 (090219)
PXE-E61: Media Test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: EXIting PXe Rom.
No bottable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

And I researched, says my laptop is trying to connect through my network
tried what they said to fix it
didnt work.
No idea where to go from here.

So, my I eventually came to the conclusion my laptops hard drive was fried. I have no clue how. I had a cooler on it, all up-to-date software and anti-virus. No idea what happened.

I think i'ma be back to using my desktop

But, if anyone knows how to fix this without me having to go buy another hard drive, post here. I don't feel like paying 250-300$ for another HDD. ._.

Pull the hard drive out, blow on it and put it back in.
