Default Website Rebuilding - 07-18-2012, 01:47 PM

Okay, so as some of you might know, I run my own buisness where I build computers for others. My old website was not the best so I've started to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.

ZCComputers - true quality for less.

What I've done so far:
Home Page:
- Logo/Buttons
- Highlight Buttons
- Sticky Note for Chat
- Slideshow
- Bottom
- Background

To do:
Home Page:
-Fix for higher resolution
-Create custom 404 page(because it's better than having my host's 404 page coming up)
-Create all pages, so there is no 404

And tell me what you think

Ehh, it's still kind of unprofessional.

Could just be the resolution as you said, but it's all off for me.

needs A LOT of work, not trying to be rude, just trying to give constructive criticism, get it to look more along these lines. Gaming Laptops - XOTIC PC - Gaming Notebooks - Custom Laptops - Custom Notebooks

It's not even close to being done.
I just started, and thanks for the feedback.
I updated it.

The theme needs to portray your site's niche. Computers, logos, stuff like that - interpret that into a workable theme. Be sure that the theme is easy on the eyes. Use an appropriate contrasting color scheme with complimentary colors.

Add a Testimonials page. People want to see results, not just a showcase of what you offer. Customer satisfaction portrays unto your future and potential customers that you run a good business.

Maybe look into further JavaScript. Make the site dynamic and intriguing to navigate. Also extend how much CSS you're using, it seems very minimal.

Another thing to note, just from what I've seen from the page source: put your CSS and JavaScript statements at the bottom, just above your end body tag. This gives the illusion that your site is loading faster. (;

Best of luck with it!
