I need help finding the expected win of a $2 bet ($1 on red and $1 on 1st 12) when betting on first third and red (Non mutually exclusive). First third means that if the ball lands on any number from 1 to 12 the player wins. 0 and 00 are not included in the first third. This is what I did so far but I have no clue what to do now.

You just divide the number of favourable outcomes by the total number of outcomes. In this case, 12 divided by 38. That can be simplified to approximately 31.5789%.

I then did the expected win of a $1 bet on first third.
