Forensic science deals with solving crimes using the scentific method. With the advance of technology, it makes solving crimes faster in the justice system. This type of science involves adressing four (not five) major questions, who, what, when, and where of murder crimes. weaponry is a big factor in DNA testing and finding the trajectory of a shot. There are many famous cases in history and in the last fifty years, however many people think that this type of science just became popular because of the advance of technology. Forensic scient have become an essential field in helping solve crimes.

Forensic scientists need to be trained in the field of weaponry because it is very popular to find the use of a projectile in a murder case especially now a days. The bullet/projectile can help us trace the shooter (Lerner 3). Ever hear of the old saying, "follow the shell?" Thats exactly what forensic scientists do because they check the DNA of a bullet to find the shooter or seller. Some weapons may be more powerful than others: nevertheless most people prefer accuracy to power. Many key factors come into play when firing/throwing a projectile for precision which is sometimes the power of the throwers hands or the shooters bullet chamber because of recoil (what forces the weapon up when firing not throwing) (Lerner 1). Many people believe one type of bullet is more precise but theres an extent to that because if you look at a fifty caliber bullet (largest bullet in the world so far) you will see it's bigger than the nine millimeter bullet (small bullet used in the world so far) but that doesn't make the nine millimeter the weaker bullet it is capeable of hitting a target with a smaller chance of killing the target in just one shot but thats when shock and trauma comes into play; however the fifty caliber shot can take a mans head off of his shoulders. There are three types of damage that projectiles cause: tissue damage, compensatory damage, and compressed pressure which can cause a liquid organ like your heart to shatter (Lerner 2).

FYI: I had to learn all of this.

Is it meant to be ''Lerner'' or do you mean, ''Learner''?

It's meant to be Lerner because that's the last name of the source writer I got the info from.

If the first paragraph is your whole thesis statement, then you need to add more detail, and not just roll to your next paragraph with weaponry.

I don't meant to make you feel bad at all, but at my old High School, if I handed this paper in, and it had this many errors... It would probably be thrown away. =/

Made a couple changes to the above portion, i'll look at the rest soon.
  • A good paper needs quotes.
  • Don't forgot the works cited page.
  • Capitalize your sentences.

You had "Weaponry helps DNA testing..." Lol.

  • I would reccoment you stay on 1 thing. Ex: A Bullet, saying Projectile/Bullet just clutters the paper.
  • Make sure you capitalize "Follow the shell?"

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think after watching CSI the study of bullets and how they fire is called ballistics?

If you want me to help you more, just leave me a visitor message. But at the time being, that's all i'm going to say.

This report was fairly short, but overall as Felicia stated the thesis statement should be summarizing what you're talking about in the report. Seeing as this is a research type of paper, your citations throughtout the paper were incorrectly cited. When listing something throughout a sentence it should have a colon to clearly indicate that.

Here is an example of a quick thesis statement to show you a basic idea: "Throughout its history, the plague has managed to spread to many areas, causing lethal symptoms that are untreatable by normal means."

What it states the paper will be talking about: History, How it spreads, Location, Symptoms, and Treatment.

Corrected some of the grammar in this passage.

You need to combine many of your sentences, as you're fragmenting too much within the research paper. Not only does combining your sentences make your sentences more complex, it prevents the choppy sentences that are awkward to read fluently.
